This article explains common export confusion: CSVs that stop at a certain number of rows (often 1,000) or contain blank fields that look like missing or failing evidence.

Why this happens

  • Evidence limits: some exports and evidence lists can be capped for performance and usability.

  • Blanks do not always mean failure: a blank field can mean the value was not present for that item, was not collected for that row, or exceeded a cap, depending on the export type.

How to interpret blanks

  • If a column is blank for items after a certain row count, it can indicate the export hit a limit.

  • If the UI shows a clear status but the export looks empty, prefer the UI test status and evidence panel as the source of truth.

What to do if you need complete data for an auditor

  1. Confirm the export you are using is the correct export for your audit workflow.

  2. Use the Audits Module to scope evidence using an observation window.

  3. If you need a complete export beyond the cap, contact Support with details (below).
