What Are Custom Tests?

Custom tests allow you to tailor evidence collection and control verification to your organization’s unique needs. They’re useful when Secureframe’s default tests don’t fully cover your internal policies, procedures, or infrastructure.

There are two main types of custom tests:

Users can create Test from the Test Page, Frameworks Page, or Controls page.

From the Test Page, simply click "Add Test" and a modal will present several options for how test can be added.

  • Custom Upload Test

  • Custom Automated Test

  • Secureframe Test (from our Library)

From the Control Page or Framework page, you can use the following to create a test.

  1. Click Map new custom test.

  2. Complete these required fields:

    • Title

    • Description

    • Control Mappings

  3. Complete any additional optional fields.

  4. Click Create.
