Secureframe has created a new Auditor Dashboard, also known as a Auditor Partner Console (APC), to help streamline the audit process for clients and auditors.
This Auditor Dashboard will allow Audit partners to create and maintain auditor personnel in one location, assign the relevant personnel to the client audits, and do so with a single login for all users.
Auditor Dashboard Benefits
- Easily access customer instances - Access all of your customer instances through a single dashboard.
- Manage your client access for your audit teams - Administrators have the ability to grant individual auditor access to customer instances based on who is responsible for that client engagement.
- Use Microsoft Office 365 / Google Workspace to access client accounts - Integrate your Office 365 or Google workspace for a more secure way to access Secureframe client accounts
Locating the Auditor Dashboard
- If you already have an Auditor Dashboard, you may be logged in and redirected to the Monitoring portion of Secureframe.
- Simply navigate to your user icon in the top right corner, click the dropdown menu, then select Auditor Dashboard
- If you are instead redirected to the Organizations page, simply search for and select your company instance.
- If you are directed to the Company details page below, your instance is not fully setup. Please fill out the fields in order to finish the initial instance set up and proceed.
Audits tab
Once you are logged into your Audit Dashboard, you will see two tabs named Audits and Team
These tabs will be the primary areas to manage client audits and or Audit team members.
- The Audits tab will provide a list of all companies that have been linked to your SPD
Summary Tab
-
The Summary tab displays all active audits associated with the client, along with the auditors currently assigned to that account. Admins can also assign new auditors directly from this view by clicking the Assign an Auditor button.
Details Tab
The Details tab displays the client's company information, including company name, address, business entity details, and relevant URLs.
Linking Customer Audits
While auditors have access to their own dashboard to manage audits and team members, Secureframe prefers to obtain customer consent before linking a customer account to the Auditor Portal.
There are two supported methods to establish this link:
CSM Confirmation: A Secureframe Customer Success Manager (CSM) can manually create the link after confirming consent directly with the customer.
Audit Module Selection: When a customer uses the Audit Module within their Secureframe instance and selects the relevant auditor, this automatically creates the link. This method serves as built-in consent, since the customer initiates the connection.
This approach ensures alignment with customer preferences while streamlining audit collaboration.
Unlinking Customer Audits
Unlinking accounts at the end of an audit is a vital step in ensuring both security and compliance standards are met. By removing access to accounts that are no longer needed after an audit is complete, you minimize the risk of unauthorized access and help maintain the integrity of your systems.
Here’s why this is essential:
- Improved Security
- Compliance with Best Practices
- Streamlined Audit Process
- Better Data Integrity
- Enhanced Control and Accountability
By unlinking accounts as part of the audit process, you’re taking proactive steps to ensure data security, compliance adherence, and the integrity of your organization’s systems.
How to unlink accounts:
- Head to the Audits tab on your Auditor SPD
- Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the client in question
- Then click on the 3 dot menu next to the client in question and select Unlink.
Note: Unlinking is only available to super admins
Team tab
- The Team tab will list all of the individuals with access to your Auditor Dashboard, along with their access role and assigned companies.
Adding Auditors to your Team
Super Admins can add new team members directly from the Team tab by clicking the Add Auditor button. Once an auditor has been added, they can be assigned to the relevant client engagements from the Audits tab. This means you only need to add each auditor once and can simply link them to new client accounts as new audits begin.
Note: Only Super Admins have the ability to add new auditors to the team.
When Auditors are acting as Consultants
In some cases, our Audit partners may also serve as consultants and already have access to the Secureframe Auditor Partner Console.
If an auditor already has access to the Auditor Dashboard through another engagement, we strongly recommend continuing to use that existing access rather than creating a new user record directly in the customer instance.
Why this matters:
It avoids duplicating access across organizations.
It allows the auditor to maintain visibility into all their assigned audits from a single consolidated dashboard.
It aligns with Secureframe’s access management best practices.
