Audit Module: Create, Provision and Track Audits

The Audit Module helps you create and track audits, select your audit firm, and auto-provision auditor access—all in one place.

Easily track your compliance journey to monitor in-progress and upcoming audits, keep your auditor details organized and upload completed audit reports for streamlined tracking and success. 

This guide walks you through how to use this new module.

Creating a New Audit

  1. Navigate to the Audit Module
    • In Secureframe, go to the “Audits” module in the sidebar.
    • Click "Add an audit" to begin.

  1. Enter Audit Details
    • Set the start and due dates for your audit.
    • Select the framework you’re auditing against (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).

  1. Choose Your Auditor
    • Select from a list of pre-approved auditors, or choose “other” to enter an auditor not listed.
  2. Determine auditor notification settings
    • If you are using an auditor from the pre-approved list, you will have the option to send them an email notification once the audit is created.

NOTE: When you create an audit using a pre-approved auditor, they will automatically be provisioned access to your environment.

Completing an Audit

  1. Once your audit window has passed, you will be able to “complete” your audit.
  1. When completing your audit, you must attach a final audit report for historical purposes.
    • Your auditor will receive an automated email with login details.
    • They’ll have secure access to review evidence and track compliance progress.

View Historical Audits

  1. The “Completed” tab in the audits module contains any audits you have marked as complete, and will allow you to download the final audit reports.

How do I change my audit firm after selecting one?

  • Once an audit firm is selected, you are unable to change the firm selected.

What if my audit firm is not in your list?
