Secureframe Agent: connect and configure in your Secureframe instance

The Secureframe Agent is a read-only agent designed to help smaller organizations be secure by reporting on key device settings.

Supported Operating Systems

The data being sent to Secureframe is the minimum information required to determine if a device is compliant.

These operating system versions are supported:

OS Supported version(s)

5. After a user downloads the agent, you will need to manually sync the Secureframe Agent Integration via Integrations > Secureframe Agent > Sync to be able to view the device syncing to the Asset Inventory table immediately. Otherwise, the Secureframe Agent Integration will automatically sync daily, after which the new device will populate in the Asset Inventory.

Please note: The agent only supports one device per one user. It cannot pull information for the multiple devices from the same user. In terms of device support, it is worth noting that the agent does not currently provide compatibility with smartphones, tablets, or Virtual Machines.

Un-enroll your organization and archive the integration

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Secureframe Agent.
  2. Click the three vertical dots on the right hand side, then Archive.  A pop up will appear confirming you want to archive the integration.
  3. Click Archive.

Once disconnected, Secureframe will stop receiving information from installed agents. If you need additional help removing the Secureframe Agent integration, please contact your Customer Success representative or Customer Support at support@secureframe.com.

In addition, we recommend users uninstall the agent from their devices. Further information on how users can uninstall the Secureframe Agent from their devices can be found within this article.

Individual device configuration instructions can be found here.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I'm a Secureframe admin, but I only see tasks to complete and not an administrative section and I need to enable the Secureframe Agent for my users.

  • It sounds like you are in the Employee section of the platform, instead you want to be in the Monitoring section.
  • Start by clicking on your avatar in the top right corner > Monitoring. Now head to the Personnel Page, then Personnel Settings, then click on Onboarding tab, scroll down to Secureframe Agent and make sure that is enabled.
