Platform walkthrough video
Overview panel
It’s now super easy to re-order sections and hide and show them on the left Overview panel. Everything updates in real-time and changes are saved immediately. You can also add new objects here, like resources, FAQs, and also custom HTML sections (a paid feature).
Re-ordering sections
By default, Secureframe provides a number of content sections:
- Monitoring: Automatically display which controls your organization is in compliance with.
- Resources: Documents and items you wish to share with requesters. Optionally place resources behind the NDA workflow to ensure that requesters agree to your disclosure terms.
- Subprocessors: Ability to add which third parties handle your customer's data.
- FAQs: Your listing of common security questions and answers. Adding more than 10 FAQs will give users a "View all" link to see all of them in a dedicated detail page. Displaying FAQs on your published Trust Center is a paid feature.
- You can also add and title custom sections by clicking Add custom section (paid feature).
To re-order these, simply click and drag a section to the place you want it to appear. You should see a purple line appear before you release the section element.
Editing content in sections
All content is editable on the right panel once you select an element by clicking on it in the Overview panel, or by hovering and clicking on the element in the center preview area of the Site Designer. If, for example, you want to edit the heading of your Trust Center on the top section, click the piece of content you want to edit on the Overview panel, and then edit the content on the right side of the screen:
Show/hide sections
Simply click the eye symbol while hovering on a section to hide it. Click it again to show the section. Changes to section visibility will be reflected when you click Publish.
Add new objects (FAQs, resources, frameworks)
To add a new resource, compliance framework, or FAQ, expand the relevant section by clicking the chevron to its left. You should now see an "+ New" button appear within the list. Clicking this will open a detail panel on the right side of the screen that lets you edit the content and details of the new object.
Switching pages to edit content
The center page selector on the top bar lets you toggle between the main Trust Center page and detail pages, like FAQs.
Brand panel
The Brand panel is where you can edit all colors on your Trust Center to match your brand. You can also upload or change your logo and favicon here.
Here's a breakdown of what the color selectors map to:
- Surface (main background): Main background color
- Text on surface: Body text
- Light surface (light background): Controls secondary background colors (e.g. Navigation bar, section background, Monitoring section background color)
- Text on light surface: Updates the navigation bar text color
- Primary (buttons): Primary button color
- Text on primary: Primary button text color
- Secondary (icons): Secondary icon and button color
- Text on secondary: Secondary button text color
- Divider: Section divider color
Custom CSS panel
Out of the box, Secureframe provides the CSS selectors to use for styling each section. Updates to the properties of these selectors should reflect immediately in the preview, but won't be live until you click Publish.
Customers must be on a paid Trust Center plan to publish custom styling, but free Trust Center users can experiment with them in the Site Designer.
Previewing your Trust Center before publishing
- Clicking Preview hides all of the editing panels and lets you view and interact with a preview of your Trust Center, exactly how it will appear to your prospects and customers. When you're in Edit mode, interactivity with buttons and other elements is disabled. For example, you won't be able to view the document request submission form unless you're in Preview mode.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
When selecting a document in our trust center online, why can users select any document to download?
- The most common scenario here is that the Trust Center's resource section is currently hidden in the Site Designer. This is most likely why users are unable to select any documents in the Trust Center.
- To resolve this issue, you’ll need to head into the Site Design, scroll down to Resources, uncheck the eye icon, then republish the Trust Center.
What happens to my styles and custom sections if I downgrade from a paid plan to free?
- We'll retain all of your styles and custom sections in the Site Designer, these will just no longer be published and your Trust Center will revert back to the default styling, fonts (Inter), and layout. If at any time you want to upgrade and re-publish your custom styles, you will be able to do so.
