Password Requirements and Security Policy

Secureframe enforces strict password security policies to protect user accounts and maintain compliance. This includes strong password requirements, mandatory updates, and preventing password reuse.

Password Requirements

When creating or updating your password, it must meet the following security standards:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • Includes both uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Includes at least one number or symbol
  • Cannot contain spaces
  • Cannot include the “|” symbol

Password Expiration and Reuse

To maintain security, Secureframe requires annual password updates. If a password expires before being updated, users will be required to reset it before logging in.

Additionally, Secureframe does not allow password reuse. When resetting or updating a password, users must create a new, unique password. If a previously used password is entered, Secureframe will prompt the user to choose a different one.
